Imagos led the formulation of Phase II of the Municipal Economic Development (MED) project in Serbia. The project aims at capacity building for the administration of property tax revenue collection, recurrent expenditure and investment planning, and accountability in public finance management, at municipal level in 30-50 municipalities, through performance based grants. The project has a financial volume of CHF 6,000,000 provided by the Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC).
Expected results include doubling of tax revenue for municipalities, intensified accountability relationships between citizens and local governments and more effective policy dialogue between project stakeholders at local and central levels.
